LiveStream Bible is built for churches to put scripture on a livestream. We designed it to keep data on your church network whenever possible.
What the apps do
- The Mac app runs a local server on your computer (default port 3847) and serves scripture to OBS / a display and to the iPad on the same Wi‑Fi.
- The iPad app discovers that Mac on the local network (Bonjour / Local Network) or connects by IP you type, then shows the presenter UI in the app.
Data we collect
We do not collect personal accounts, analytics, or advertising identifiers in the current Mac or iPad apps. There is no LiveStream Bible cloud login for normal use.
- On your Mac: bookmarks, themes, Bible database files, and optional API.Bible credentials for a one-time NKJV import are stored in Application Support / Keychain on that Mac.
- On your iPad: the app uses Local Network permission to find the Mac. Manual IP you enter stays on the device. The built-in Apple Review demo uses sample public-domain WEB text bundled in the app.
- Optional updates: the Mac app may check an HTTPS update feed you (or BraddCorp) host, to download signed runtime patches. That request only fetches update metadata and patch files — not church member data.
Third parties
Optional NKJV import uses API.Bible with a key you provide. That key and import traffic go to API.Bible under their terms; verse text for streaming stays offline on your Mac after import. WEB scripture ships with the app (public domain).
This website and download hosting may be served by Cloudflare. Standard web logs (IP, user agent) may be processed by the host for security and delivery.
Children
The apps are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
